Job Applicant Privacy Notice

As part of any recruitment process, Barrage LLC (“Barrage”, "We") collects and processes personal data relating to job applicants. We are committed to being transparent about how it collects and uses that data. This notice is aimed at informing you of how and why your personal data will be used, namely for the purposes of the recruitment process, and how long it will be retained for.

The kind of data we collect  about you

In connection with your application, we will collect, use and store: the data you have provided to us in your curriculum vitae (CV) and the personal data contained in your covering letter, the data you have provided on our application form, any information you provide to us during an interview, including face to face and telephone interviews and associated emails and any personal data provided to us about you by your referees.

Barrage, as the data controller, protects your privacy and processes only those personal information that is necessary for the purpose of potential employment. 

How long we hold your data

We will not hold your personal data longer than we need it. If unsuccessful, generally, we keep the majority of your information for the duration of the recruitment process plus an additional 60 months thereafter.  We retain your personal data for that period so that we can show, in the event of a legal claim, that we have not discriminated against candidates on prohibited grounds and that we have conducted the recruitment process in a fair and transparent way. We further retain such personal data in case a similar role becomes vacant for which you will be a fitting candidate. If you are successful in your application, data collected as part of the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment. 

Data security

Barrage will take the appropriate administrative, physical, and technical measures to protect personal data consistent with applicable privacy and data security laws and regulations.

Your data may be shared internally for the purposes of the recruitment process. This includes members of the HR and recruitment team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy, and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.

Your rights

As an applicant, you have a number of rights. You can:
  • access and obtain a copy of your data on request;
  • require the organization to change incorrect or incomplete data;
  • require the organization to delete or stop processing your data, for example where the data is no longer necessary for the purposes of the processing; and
  • object to the processing of your data where Barrage is relying on its legitimate interests as the legal ground for the processing.

Also, you will have access to the Portal, which gives you access to your personal information. In each moment, via the Hyperlink contained in the email that you receive after the application, you can request a change of information, deny the previously given consent for data processing or request to fully delete your profile from our database.
